Green Card – Labourer
Blue Card – Skilled Worker (NVQ Level 2)
Gold Card – Advanced/Supervisor (NVQ Level 3–4)

The test lasts 45 minutes, and you must score at least 45 out of 50 to pass.
All CSCS cards are valid for 5 years, after which you must renew them by retaking the Health & Safety test.
A temporary card issued to workers who are currently gaining experience or completing their NVQ. It’s valid for 6–12 months.
Attention, you cannot obtain the temporary card if you do not already have CSCS Labourer LVL 1 (Green Card).
You can verify a card online on the CSCS website by entering the card number or the worker’s name.
GQA is an official awarding body that provides accredited NVQs recognised by CSCS and accepted on all UK construction sites.
You can start with a Green CSCS Labourer Card after completing a short Health & Safety course. Later, you can progress to NVQ Level 2 and higher cards.
The test is only available in English, but some centres may provide additional support for non-native speakers.
You can retake the test after 48 hours. There is no limit to the number of attempts, but each test must be paid for separately.
